Dot and Google Meet’s Gemini notes: what each one remembers
If your company runs on Google Workspace, Gemini already writes notes and puts them in your Drive. It is good at it, and its notes are better structured than most.
Every row was checked against Google’s own documentation. We cut a claim that Gemini could not cover meetings on other platforms, because Google documents that it can.

The thing a feature table cannot carry
Google’s notes are the closest of the three to what we do: each document has a Decisions section, and it marks whether the room aligned, disagreed or shelved something. That is more structure than most tools produce and it is genuinely useful.
It is scoped to one meeting. The June document says the room aligned on a price; the July document says the room aligned on a different one. Both are correct, neither knows about the other, and the person reading the June one in September has no way to know it has expired.
Where Gemini in Meet is the better choice
Be honest with yourself about this, because it is often the right answer.
The notes land where everything else already lives, with no additional processor and no extra cost. That is a real advantage and we do not have an answer to it.
Google’s per-meeting Decisions section is good. If nobody in your company needs to know whether a decision has since changed, it is enough.

Does Gemini cover meetings on Zoom or Teams?
Google documents capturing notes for meetings beyond Meet. We checked, and an earlier version of this page said it could not. The difference between us is the record across meetings, not which platforms are reachable.
Do our attendees need a Google account to be in a Dot meeting?
No. Dot joins the meeting itself; attendees need nothing at all.
