Why Dot exists
A transcript records a meeting. It does not answer the question somebody asks halfway through, it does not notice that a decision was made and nobody owns it, and it does not remember what the last meeting settled. Those are the moments a meeting is won or lost, and they happen while it is still going.
So Dot takes part. Ask it something and it answers from your files, your earlier meetings or the web while you are still talking. It keeps track of what was agreed and who owns it, keeps the meeting to its agenda, carries the last meeting into the next one, and writes up the minutes when the call ends. Not another note taker: a teammate that moves the conversation towards a decision.
How it is built
- A desktop app, for Mac, Windows and Ubuntu, that listens in on your own calls. Nothing is installed in Teams, Zoom or Meet, and nobody else on the call needs anything.
- Each organisation’s meetings are stored in the region it chooses, the United Kingdom, the European Union or the United States. What stays there, and what is processed elsewhere.
- A meeting is seen by the person who recorded it and the people they share it with. How meetings are protected.
- No voiceprints, and no scoring of anybody’s mood, engagement or tone. We do not train models on your meetings.
