Windows asks for no permissions, so Dot is ready for your next call as soon as you sign in. It sits in the system tray and offers to listen in whenever Teams, Zoom or your browser starts a call.

Install it in three steps
Step 1: Open the installer
Open the .exe file from your Downloads folder. It is signed by Tellme AI Limited, the company behind Dot.
Step 2: Install Dot
Follow the installer, then choose Finish to open Dot. It installs just for you, so it needs no administrator.
Step 3: Sign in
Sign in, or create your account. Windows asks for no permissions, so Dot is ready for your next call.
Updates and uninstalling on Windows
New versions come through the same signed installer, run quietly when you choose or when Dot next quits, and never in the middle of a call.
To remove Dot, open Settings, then Apps, find dot in the list and choose Uninstall. Your meetings and notes are kept in your account, not in the app, so nothing is lost.

Can I install Dot without administrator rights?
Yes. The installer puts Dot in your own user folder rather than in Program Files, so Windows does not ask for an administrator. You can choose another folder as it installs.
Does Dot work on a Windows PC with an Arm processor?
Yes. There is one download for Windows, and on a PC with an Arm processor, such as a Snapdragon laptop, Windows runs it through its built-in emulation.
Why does Windows not ask for any permissions?
Windows lets desktop apps use the microphone and hear the computer’s sound without asking each time, and Dot reads the names of speakers through Windows’ own accessibility interface, which needs no grant. If you have turned off microphone access for desktop apps in Windows’ privacy settings, turn it back on so Dot can hear you.
